Licensing

A font license is a permission to install and use a font. All our font licenses are perpetual and require only a one-off payment (No subscription). We offer a range of licenses to suit various needs. If none of our current options fit your requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us. For more information, please visit our licenses section.

Will there be recurring payments?

No. You pay once, all our standard licenses are perpetual and one-time fee. As long as the number of users is not exceeded, this license does not need to be renewed.  

Payment options

Credit card, debit card or PayPal. The payments are process by Stripe or Paypal, we don’t see or store your credit card information at any point. For payments over 1,000€ you can also pay by bank transfer, an invoice can be generated at the end of the checkout process (Confirm). If you have any doubt please contact us at info@emtype.net

Card authentication and 3D Secure

For extra fraud protection with card payments, 3D Secure requires customers to complete an additional verification step when paying. Typically, you will be direct to an authentication page on your bank’s website, and you enter a password associated with the card or a code sent to your phone.

Taxes and VAT

All the indicated prices on the site exclude taxes, these are payable only by Spanish customers (IVA) and Non-VAT registered customers from the European Union. If you have a valid VAT number you can enter it on the account settings or at the checkout and taxes will not be charged. Please write VAT number without including spaces, hyphens, punctuation or any other invalid symbol. 

License owner / Buying for a client

During the buying process you can decide for whom the license is, a special field on the cart options is enabled for this purpose at the end of the process. Don't forget to fill in the 'license Owner' area during the checkout process with the name of your client or their firm. The buyer is the license owner when the field is left empty.

Licensing the correct quantity

When you add a font to your cart, the smallest quantity license is automatically included. Please update the quantity and type based on your needs.

Licensing additional users later / Upgrade

Licenses are cumulative. If you need to add additional users to your license after purchase, purchase a new license for the same package but for the number of additional users.

Font delivery

You will get your fonts immediately after the payment. You can get your fonts at that point, or anytime on your order history. Moreover, a download link is sent to your email address as well. 

Refunds

Downloaded fonts cannot be exchanged or refunded. If there is a problem with your order, let us know, and we will try to fix the situation as soon as we can.

Exclusive fonts

Some font in our catalogue, like Decagram, Goalking and Aribau Rounded are exclusively available through emtype.net. As well as these fonts, some of our future releases won’t be for sale in any distribution platform, only in this site.

Webfonts

The webfonts are self-hosted, that means that you host the fonts in your own server. The webfonts are provided in following formats: Woff, Woff2 and TTF (WebOnly). In addition, an example of use in HTML and CSS is provided with each font style. 

Font modifications

If you require some custom work or modifications on our fonts, such as a new weight, alternative characters or extra alphabets, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Coupon discounts

Occasionally, we offer discounts for newsletter subscribers. If you have a valid discount code, you can use it at the checkout. Enter your code in the cart page, the first step before paying.

Student discount

We offer a special discount on our typefaces for students. If you’re interested, please contact us from a valid university email address. 

Trial fonts or Test fonts

We are offering free test fonts of our entire library here. Optionally, you can try our fonts at Fontstand, it is an app for macOS and Windows that allows you to try fonts for free or rent them for just a fraction of the regular price.

Any product names, brands, and other trademarks featured or referred to within the Emtype Foundry website are the property of their respective trademark holders and are use it only as examples to show the typefaces. These trademark holders are not affiliated with Emtype Foundry or its website. Further, Emtype Foundry declares no affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, nor any partnerships with any registered trademarks.

Fonts in use images

Any images featured in the In use section of the fonts are the exclusive property of their respective copyright holders. All images used are for illustrative purposes only, as real examples to show the typefaces.
